Hi Tony

Just wanted to give some feedback on a post you did a little below:

"Lyncher-in-Chief Is Upset About Worldwide Revulsion At The Barbarity of His Shiite Thugs"

I have no problem calling Maliki a war criminal or a lycher-in-chief, because that's what he is, but I have a slight problem with the use of the term "shi'ite thugs". It can sound as if these thugs behave as they do because they are shi'ite and prone to mob range and lynching. In reality it is not about them, being Shi'ite as Shi'ite, but their political support of the occupation and the political process that the occupation has created, that's where the problem exists. In other words it's their acts and not their religious affiliation. Similarly we support Hezbollah's resistance, not because they are shi'te, but because of their actions. Similarly I think we oppose the stances of the Muft of Lebanon, regardless of his religious affiliation.

It simply is not a Sunni/Shi'ite or Kurdish/Arab or etc. it is about the agressor and the agressed upon and the right of the opressed to resist imperialism.

My point being, we judge a man on his actions, and not his religious or ethnic background. It's consistent and above all it goes beyond tribal and racist thinking, that essentialises the 'other' in order to demonise him.

Just some spelling mistakes above:

"the agressor and the agressed "

correction

"the aggressor and the aggressed"

"right of the opressed"

correction

"right of the oppressed"

"Muft of Lebanon"

correction

"Mufti of Lebanon"

That Reuters say that the thing burning was a tank burning doesn't mean that it IS a tank. The video was not clear & the thing burning seemed more like a Humvee to me.
Reuters just wanted to mark a scoop as it seems to me.

a tank or a humvee , it is a US vehicle and it is burning , it is the same !

If Reuters says it is a tank , we can not doubt their word, they are on the grounds in iraq .

Off topic : this article below confirms the real intentions of the west . iraqi officials want Modern standards in the oil industry ..

Reuters' word is not divine. & it was proved many times before of mistakes in reporting on their part. But well anyway, this is not an issue here. & if u do not want to use your eyes or mind as u should, then it is your problem.

I agree fully.

Reuters' word is not divine

totally Agree , but the tank shown on Al Jazeera and AL Alam and NIle TV was quite clear to be a Tank and nothing else . 2 humvees were shown burning too , But the Channels said they could not confirm the authencity of the tape , because it was posted on the net by the resistance .

HAHAHA. I hope that this is the 'good' resistance though. Not the one who is sending car-bombs amid innocent Iraqis going for work or selling in the market & blows them to pieces.

As for the tape on Al jazeera & others, it is the same one shown by Reuters & this 'resistance' of yours. It shows ONE Humvee burning. Those who pretend otherwise have surely been drinking whisky in secret. That explains them seeing the Humvees multiplied...
How am i sure that it is a Humvee? Notice almost at the end of the tape. The fire can be seen through what looks like a very small oblong opening atop the car. This is the place where the machine-gun's nozzle is placed. Would u find this on a tank?

Here it seems that the 'resistance's' word is not divine either.

I will place a link showing completely destroyed American vehicles (& tanks) in Iraq here on this thread as soon as i find it. Then u can quelch your thirst for that.

The photos were taken by American contractors & servicemen during their stay. It seems that my country is turning into a real cemetary for these things. For the emplacements of the photos r seem to be many.

It is a real pity that many Arabs do NOT think the way u do orbitz. Thank u very much for being a human being & thinking reasonably. & not like the political sectarian 'thugs' we see in the arab world.

saad

if you look at the Video , the vehicle looks much bigger than a humvee , it does look like a tank .
And more than a dozen websites carry that story in Falluja .
I wont argue again wether it is humvee or tank , i dont give a damn as long as the True clean resistance had them , that s enough for me.
The US had employed some thugs to work for them , and other extremits actions tried to smear the good image of the resistance but people know that resistance Has killed more than 3000 US soldiers .

saad
Im not sectarian by the way , even though sunni. I was the first one to be disgusted by the words of saudis who said they ll step in to help the sunnis , i wanted them to step in earlier to help ALL iraqis not just sunnis .
what happens from the Death squads sickens me , 18 months ago they showed Al Jadiriya prison and another one , where the hundreds of sunni prisoners were kept by the Ministry of interior , and the US came to their rescue , many were starving others were abused, and tortured with marks on their bodies. no investigation has taken place.
Death squads closely linked to the sectarian gov is sending groups of policemen in uniform to kidnapp people detain people at various ministries , factories , et.. and the next day , many are found dead on the streets . that should NOT happen with the collaboration of the gov . who is going to pay for the killing of these death squads ? who is going to be in a court of law for robbing Iraq of Billions , (many Members of parliament have fled and are now living in Jordan and London )

@fatima,

This is the site i told about. Here u can enjoy the images of destroyed TANKS & HUMVEES as long as u wish, u & all the others reading in this thread.
It seems that Iraq is really becoming a cemetary... for the coalition's war material.

[fatima]"(many Members of parliament have fled and are now living in Jordan and London)"

I hope u got it right your information this time. Because there is a corrupt Iraqi MP who is suspected to be hiding s.wh. in London. His name is Hazem Shalaan, former minister of Defence. He is searched by the Iraqi Justice authorities & Interpol for corruption. He managed to steal $0.5 (or 1.5) billion of Iraq's money. He used a plane to smuggle the banknotes. Everything is reported & investigated by the Iraqi Transparency Commission.

The Iraqi Govt's paralysis has hindered the arrest of the others who r living in Jordan neglecting their duties for which they were elected. This is not a sign of courage or anything else as the Arab anti-Iraqi media tells u. This is an act of cowardice & treason. If they r unable to carry on their duties then they should RESIGN their commission. Right or wrong?

Brilliant ! Bravo for the true resistance.

I know about shaalan .But others who are not on the run have also left (after making sure their pension funds are replenished ) many take part in Certain Live debates on AL Jazeera while being away hiding comfortable and being paid im sure. shame , while iraq burns and the average and poor people struggle .

So many billions have dissappeared during ALlawi and Al Jaafari gov too , i hope there are investigations going on . I wonder what Chalabi Has been up to all this time , i know he is no longer being sought for the Petra Bank Scandal .

[Anonymous]"So many billions have dissappeared during ALlawi and Al Jaafari gov too , i hope there are investigations going on . I wonder what Chalabi Has been up to all this time , i know he is no longer being sought for the Petra Bank Scandal ."

Of course there r investigations going on. The Transparency Commission ran by Judge Radhi Hamza Al-Radhi is hot on their trails. But of course these r kept secret. 19 of the Commission's judges have paid for their honesty & devotion with their lives. The ITC is the only honest corps within the Iraqi Govt. Other former ministers & officials r charged for corruption & embezzelment of public funds (like Mishaan Jubori -Kutlat il-Mosalaha wal-Tahreer- & his son.) But of course if they r members of powerful parties r enjoy the protection of some powers within the State (like the Kurds Talabani & Barazani), then there is not much the ITC can do.

FYI, the commission is harshly fought by many in the Iraqi Govts since 2003. & their budget is always meager.

As for Chalabi, his 'deeds' took place outside Iraq. So it is not within the limits of the Iraqi jurisprudence. The Petra Bank affair has many ramifications. Nothing till now is leaked about it apart unimportant bla bla bla. It seems to me that the Jordanians were involved in it to their ears. That is why they never gave much publicity to it nor did they seek to reinforce their position by inlighting the public opinion more about it.
