And the American academic Norman Finkelstein has been arrested and ordered deported from Israel. Finkelstein arrived in Tel Aviv earlier today on his way to the Occupied Territories. He was immediately detained and told he is banned from Israel for ten years. He’s expected to be deported tomorrow. Azmi Bishara (interview):
... Saudi Arabia [for example] considers what happened in Lebanon as a withdrawal under Iran's power, which is a catastrophic way of thinking. To consider reconciliation in Lebanon a matter where prestige and status are damaged by an Iranian victory is indeed a disaster. But if Saudi Arabia understands that Lebanon could be ready for a historic deal...

The iraqis should thank Persia again for defending their integrity, in the same manner they have defended the iraqi oil so far. Had they not done it, it should be already in US-MNC's hands.
Iran: US conning Iraqis into slavery
A senior Iranian cleric says signing a security accord to prolong the presence of American troops in Iraq would be an act of treachery.
"Iraqi tribunals will not be able to judge American military personnel and employees working for the US military," ...

And, to the saddamite residents over here: NO, I'm not an "iranian-whatever nonsenses you said-" It happens, as I had already said, I have no prejudices whatsoever against them, all I received from Iran was beauty. As much as from Iraq.
I also don't have a blog (do you hear me?, liers) much the less an iranian blog. So the iranian you went to insult thinking it was me, was yet another innocent victim of yours.
If I considered creating a blog, it should be in my language, do you understand, morons? My command of English is not good enough as to have a website.
Now go pray Santa Lucia (patron of the blind) to guide you. Amen.

Abu Sitta called Oslo the biggest political hoax in Palestinian history and called on Palestinians to lobby for a new Palestinian National Council. "It is the only guarantee to get the Palestinian right of return."
Asad Abu Khalil, professor of political science at California State University, Stanislaus, and author of The Angry Arab blog, spoke about new dangers in the Arab world, including how Zionism has won allies among nearly all Arab regimes. "After 60 years, we should be aware how Zionism has its tentacles throughout Arab media and government," said Abu Khalil. He said the battle against Zionism could only succeed if launched against Arab regimes in their alliance with the US.
Despite the successes of Zionism, Abu Khalil added, there are signs of its failures. "The 2006 war on Lebanon revealed a path of struggle against Israel that can be mounted if joined by Arabs -- not regimes -- of different countries."

Yep it's coming from Haloscan. When I click on a thread it opens something completely different. The best way to go around this problem is to open your internet favorites (alt + c) and select the haloscan history of the day.

OT:
look what Hilary Clinton did:
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton quickly apologized Friday after citing the June 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy as a reason to remain in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination despite increasingly long odds. "I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation and in particular the Kennedy family was in any way offensive. I certainly had no intention of that whatsoever," the former first lady said.he episode occurred as Clinton campaigned in advance of the June 3 South Dakota primary. Responding to a question from the Sioux Falls Argus Leader editorial board about calls for her to drop out of the race, she said: "My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. You know I just, I don't understand it," she said, dismissing the idea of abandoning the race. Clinton said she didn't understand why, given this history, some Democrats were calling for her to quit. Her remark about an assassination during a primary campaign drew a quick response from aides to Democratic presidential front-runner Barack Obama.

Look at the fraudsters:
WASHINGTON (AFP) - The Pentagon cannot account for nearly 15 billion dollars in payments for goods and services in Iraq, according to an internal audit which members of Congress blasted Friday as a "shocking" accountability failure.
Of 8.2 billion dollars in US taxpayer-funded defense contracts reviewed by the defense department's inspector general, the Pentagon could not properly account for more than 7.7 billion dollars.

For what it is worth I find all this talk about "investment" rather suspect, it seems to be the new script like. It is the script in Palestine with corporate "participation"- while the wall keeps being built, while the occupation, while settlements keep being built, and so on; in Iraq it is also the same script, while the occupation forces continue, the atrocities keep happening, and the global corporations keep pledging "participation." Both look like moves toward normalization of abnormal conditions. Don't you find this rather curious to say the least?

"V" I cannot properly read your comment because the halo-thingy doesn't show up. I guess you refer to the "investments in Irak" issue.
If so, you want to check out El Ahram, for it brings a good article on the subject. Note how it says the USA is witholding the Iraqi money and won't release it till the Malikis of this world sign for an endless stay of US troops in Iraq. My guess is Maliki wants the funds and consequently bows to USA and will sign whatever they want, hence the irate reaction of Iran calling it treason.
Which actually is!.

What, on the other hand, leads us to say (with an special emphasis for our resident aaaand vocal baathis)
So much for the Iranian support of Maliki eh!
PS- (I don't remember who of them) said I used the "i" for baathis and irakis like the iranians do.
Well, I didn't know how the iranians write it, and couldn't care less. I have do it my way guys, the way I may read it. I need the vowels to read, otherwise no intelligible sounds can be produced (-in my tongue I mean-).
How would I say Irakians, Baathians, a la Bush "Grecians"

Banning Amre El-Abyad
Earlier today after reading his latest, most racist comment against Iranians, I decided to ban him. I also deleted several of his hate-filled comments.
This is the reason for the disappearance of some comments, which Steven noticed. No other comments were affected.

Lucia,
Have you been able to come up with a single comment by me that would even remotely support any of your silly allgations? No, then how about an apology? I am beyond being accused by anyone, let alone an unknown poster on a blog, but I invite you to apologize for your own self-respect, integrity, and crediblity.
I am not bothered by the Arab bashing, Pro-Iran attitude by some of the European/American "left". I expect that from many of them. Its in vogue and its kitsch to support the exotic mullahs of Tehran who are ostensibly anti-Imperialist to the most shallow of observers.
It is very dissapointing to see a Palestinian Arab betray Iraq and side with Iran.

AA where are you heading? Have a good trip. I follow the debates. I do not always agree but you made good points and did not resort to any racism as they said. I think they are holding you responsible for some of the other people on your side. Take it as a compliment. They were not able to counter you so they chose the others. You have to admit layla anwar and amre did go overboard. You are not responsible for them but if you condemn them it would help you. Otherwise you clearly are winning.

Watcher,
Thank you for your comment. I do appreciate it. I stopped taking the comments section seriously long ago. At the begining I did try to really have an honest debate, but it quickly became obvious that's not possible. The attacks on me are really just a form of entertainment. I kept coming back due to the several comments of support I read on here, and also the emails that were sent to me. I realized people are actually paying attention. Again, I appreciate what you said. We do not have to always agree, but we should atleast be honest about our disagreements and what is actually said by anyone.
I think we have to disagree about Layla Anwar here also. While each one of us may choose his/her words differently I can't condemn her. In fact I would always choose to associate myself with my patriotic Iraqi brothers and sisters who have been put through hell. As far as I am concerned, the Iraqis and Palestinians are not to be judged. They have a blank check from me. They are the victims. If you read Layla's blog you will realize she is a brave Iraqi woman who has been touched deeply and personally by the Iraqi Nakba of the last few years.
Thanks for your honesty and words of support.
