Excellent, Tony!
Members of the Hamas movement in exile, mainly in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt... must undertake kind of a missionary grassroot work with the refugees, by training -both in the theoric and practical levels- informing, holding them together and united and getting them organised- The Hamas people excel at this. There is much work to do within the diaspora, long time abandoned by the Fatah's Oslo industry.
As to the rest of the Palestinians in exile all the world around they should establish contacts among them and be in touch, in addition to take as many actions and protests as possible to reclaim their legal rights as Palestinians and as human beings.

Let’s face it: The would-have-been Paleos have thrown away so many opportunities to exist that it's no longer an issue.
They don't exist and they never will.
Get real comfy where you are because it's the end of the line- unless you start a war with your hosts there too.
But you'll never see Israel.

Tony,
Asad posted this today. Hilarious:
Do you notice that the Zionist love affair with Abu Mazen deliberately ignores his history of denying the holocaust. It was the "substance" of his PhD dissertation in Moscow.

“We know things are bad. Worse than bad. They’re crazy” by Mike Whitney
Americans don’t believe in revolution anymore. It has become a meaningless event in the distant past. But we need a revolution and we need it now. We need to remove the present administration and restore the people’s confidence in government.
The Bush administration is not a government at all. We all know that. It is a crime family—an oligarchy of racketeers. They have no moral authority, no legitimacy, no right to govern. They’re criminals.

Un soldado español que sirvió como casco azul en el Líbano hasta el pasado febrero ha contraído matrimonio en Maryayun con una joven libanesa a la que conoció durante su misión en el sur del país. Interesting. That happens alot. My brother inlaw when he was in Kosovo fell inlove with a Muslim woman, but his friends tried to change his mind, because she was muslim, because she was from a different country, with a different culture ... etc The usual brainwashing from some army dudes.

WELCOME HOME, BROTHERS AND SISTERS!
600 French Olim To Arrive Wednesday
Six hundred olim (immigrants to Israel) are scheduled to "come home" Wednesday morning, leading a wave of aliyah that the Jewish Agency says will be the largest from France since 1972. The crowd will arrive on two El Al and Israir planes at virtually the same time from Paris and Marseilles, and President Shimon Peres will greet the new immigrants at Ben Gurion airport.
The rate of aliyah from France is 10 percent higher than for the same period last year, and more than 3,000 are expected to arrive by the end of the year. The previous high was 2,350 in 1972, one year before the Yom Kippur War, when aliyah from Europe and North America dropped drastically.
Jerusalem, Netanya and Ashdod will absorb most of the new olim.

It's only "home", Anonymous, because Stalin and the rest of the White, Imperialist UN 'graciously' midwifed Apartheid Israel into existence.
However, UN welfare does not a homeland make!
Great site, Tony! I've added you to my blogroll.
As someone who follows the situation in Palestine as close as I can given the limited means afforded me here on Uncle Sam's plantation, it seems that the greatest obstacle to a United Front against the European invasion is the various "Socialist" parties - the DFLP, PFLP, etc. - who cling to a desire to play both sides of the conflict rather than fully working to overthrow Uncle Sam's Vichy gov't.
Understanding that Hamas is a religious party, they do seem far more concerned about events on the ground - namely resistance to Apartheid Israel and their lackeys - rather than Invisible Sky-Goblins.
Am I mistaken? As a socialist, I fail to see the rationale undertaken by these groups to vacillate between Hamas and Vichy.

Thank you, Tony. This needed saying. I would like to add that we cannot continue to ask of the Palestinian people that they bear the entire burden of the struggle for liberation. For those of us non-Palestinians and USians, our task has been and continues to be the support of the Palestinian resistance for right of return to reclaim the homeland and for liberation from Usz imperialism. At the same time we must take on responsibility to help put an end to the US imperial system, since it is at the root of the problem for all the world's oppressed peoples.
I say this knowing that the US movement is weak and divided and racist. But we must make it too expensive for the USz alliance to continue.

"Am I mistaken? As a socialist, I fail to see the rationale undertaken by these groups...."
No, you are not mistaken John Brown. The Palestinian left is virtually extinct today and for good reasons.
In the past they allowed themselves to be bought and controlled by Arafat. That is why they are still doing the bidding of the puppet Abbas. This subservience to a very weak traitor is costing the left any credibility left.
They (PFLP, DFLP, etc.) did very little in building grass-root support over the years, while Hamas in particular has been the main force. That is why in the latest elections the left, combined, had something like 5% of the votes.
Hamas by staying true to resistance and to its basic principles as well as by being with the people and suffering with the people has earned the people's trust, while "leftist" leaders meet with the traitors in their suits in Ramallah.
