So much of the news coverage has been ridiculous, though I suppose that is not surprising.As you say, no mention was made of the fact that Fatah would never permit a similarly sized Hamas rally in the West Bank. But what annoyed me the msot was the amount of news attention given to the deaths of about 5 Palestinians, killed (presumably) by other Palestinians. Palestinians are killed on a daily basis by Israel, but it barely makes the ticker at the bottom of the screen, let alone the 'breaking news' headlines.
