Have any of them, from Makiya through Hitchens to Berman and Berube had dark nights, asking themselves just how much responsibility they have for the heaps of dead in Iraq . . . ?
Don't know about those other guys, but no, I'm not sorry I opposed the war in Iraq. I am sorry, however, that Alex Cockburn has outlived his intelligence.

Another crappy article from the Cockburns.
The first part is devoted to defend his lawrence of Arabia brother , Patrick and look at this bit
"Saddam dragged his country into ruin. Then the US took it from ruin to the graveyard, plundering the corpse as it did so."
Typical of the Cockburns hypocrisy, no mention of the deadly 13 years of sanctions that brought the country to ruin..sanctions institutionalized by his government and the UN and on which they loved to keep the golden silence....Sickening lot.
