Too little, too late ...as usual !

In the case of the Vietnam war, a strong anti-war movement in the U.S. did not develop until close to the end of the war. However, in addition to the large number of American casualties, that movement was crucial in ending the war.

In the case of Iraq, the opposition actually started much earlier. Just as in Vietnam, this anti-war movement is an important factor that will force an American withdrawal. So, I would not dismiss it easily. Of course, the main task is for the Iraqi resistance to expand and involve most Iraqis in fighting the occupation. That, unfortunately, has not happened yet.
