Susan, thank you, it was a fun wedding. They had a drink bar, where you could order your own italian soda, and a candy bar where you could pick from an array of candies.

The cake does look great. The lean up top just gives it that classic "leaning tower of Piza" affect. I also love the picture below of the ribbon candy. Yum! It's so hard to get the lightning right on pictures like that.

It's lovely! Sounds like a fun wedding.
It took about an hour to decide to do this cake. We went from a very different cake to this one once mom came home. She really urged something more traditional and the bride finally decided somewhat traditional with the added whimsy effect. Mickey and Minnie on top with the cake matching the topper. Gold bows and all.
It turned out SOOOO cool! I am way excited and so glad you posted a photo of it! It really is such a great cake, perfect.
I think the cake is really sweet looking and probably a perfect fit to the bride from your description. You did a good thing there. Lovely!
