Plus ça change, plus c'est la meme chose...

Gravatar Oh how very charming you are Dave. Married? Wow. You must be fun to live with. Go be a troll somewhere else please. Either that or why not leave the name of your blog so we can come visit you too.

Gravatar Oh I see, since I called you out on a dumb comment, now you're modifying it by saying that the problem is the SIZE of the different prices. I'm going to check that next time I'm in there-- you're probably pulling that out of your ass too. If old farts and morons "get confused" and stop shopping there, all the better, so I can shop in peace. No, I don't work there.

Gravatar Dave, a little behind the curve eh? Actually, the fact that the package has the price per pound in larger numbers than the package price that is being selected is the problem. Most grocery stores have the price per pound in smaller numbers than the actual selling price so it is clear to the consumer that the package is not a flat rate. It is confusing for elderly customers. If you don't think so, go hang out in the meat aisle for a while and listen to the elderly customers.

Working for F&E Dave?

Gravatar Uh, doesn't every grocery store post their meat prices by the pound? F&E does it no differently from anyone else-- the price on the shelf tag is per pound but the price of the individual package is clearly printed on the tag that's stuck to it. Duh.

Gravatar I live in the PHX area.
Thanks for filling me in.
We shall be having f&e soon.
Nice reading.
If you remove the few typos will be even better.

Besides TJ's, f&e, AJ's I personally wish for an ALDI store in our neighborhood

Gravatar What an interesting coincidence. A Fresh and Easy store is supposed to be built a block away from our house, and we've been anxiously awaiting its arrival. We can't find out when it's being built, we only know that we'll have it eventually.

Today, on the way home from the doctor, I went a block in the wrong direction on the way home and we ran into a brand new Fresh and Easy. How new? Today! It opened today, and it was so incredibly crowded, but we figured we may as well check it out. We parked far away, where the traffic for the store wasn't so bad.

The store is near a big retirement community in Summerlin, in Las Vegas. The place was jam packed with old people. Seriously, we were the youngest customers by about 30 years in very very crowded store. Our first impression was that we wouldn't be able to do regular grocery shopping there because it's expensive for regular everyday things. However, it's going to be THE place for us to get desserts. Yum! Fresh and frozen, they looked yummy. I was disappointed that a British company didn't stock the place with any cool British chocolate though. Oh, and the ready-made salads looked tasty too.

Gravatar 1. Sad that pancetta is a "gourmet" food.
2. the bagged fresh food freaked me a bit.
3. The security overload was disturbing and gave a definite creep factor.
4. I would kill for a food store of this caliber in my area...Fresh and Easy, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, holy hannah any store beyond Stater Bros. or Von's would be nice.
