That's the same type of jack-boot bullshit the man tried to pull on jazz musicians back in the day. Lord knows how many times Bird had his Cabaret Card yanked for "internal consumption."
God damn Rob Portman. May he be awoken late at night by the sting of a baker's dozen of cocks thrusting forth into his various orifices.

After that disgusting politicizing in Batavia last week of a POW to further the Bush campaign,I am firmly convinced that this guy might replace Chabot as the local GOP shill par excellence. Nothing suprises me from this douche, really.
These people, in their attempt to keep the pharmeceutical, beer, and cigarette contributors happy and throwing the money around, will attempt any gestapo tactic regardless of its moral or legal ramifications, to further the drug war.
will there ever be a point when we get real about this and realize that the drug war is a national disgrace and albatross around our collective necks?

I find myself on that same path.

That's the most painful part of this sad Maupin ordeal - a young man, one of our own, is being held hostage, and certain people are trying to twist his situation for political gain. What's next - "Matt would WANT a tax cut?"

And as for the subject of the actual post, it's well known that the Coors company is one of the biggest funders of anti-drug propaganda.

Coors also was/is a big backer of the PMRC. You can thank companies, like DuPont, that have lots of bucks riding on synthetic fibers and fuels for keeping cannabis illegal. Why bother having a quick-growing, tough-as-nails, durable, RENEWABLE natural resource when you can have lab-made, machine-pulled, air-polluting trash?
