Gravatar I did not wake up until my dog started going nutz. I just thought he heard something outside. After seeing the news this morning, now I know he hates earth quakes!

Gravatar It scared me to death. I live by the river and it shook my entire house. I thought my house was caving in on itself or something.

Gravatar Yeah, my dog went crazy. The funny part was that I was so tired all I coud muster was "Shut up and get back in your bed!"

Gravatar I felt it too, in my sixth floor apartment. It was an interesting feeling, with the bed rocking ever so gently.

Gravatar It confused the hell out of me. I woke up and made sure I was still alone in the bed.

Gravatar We didn't feel anything, and none of our animals stirred, but I woke up either right as or right after it hit. It must have awakened me, but I don't remember anything shaking.

My folks back in south-central Indiana felt it, though. Mom said the house shook pretty hard.

Gravatar it's really funny to me. I'm from Oakland, California tremors like this are fairly common; 5.2 is a decent size one for sure. I never expected earthquakes to follow me out to the midwest. It's a trip though

Gravatar I am originally from Pennsylvania and moved to the Nashville Tennessee area 3 years ago. I was already awake when it happened...I felt my whole bed shaking. I never had been in an Earthquake before and my first thought was....was that an Earthquake? I didnt think much after it but when i got to work at 6am There were people talking about it... Kinda weird to know that an Earthquake in Indiana Could be felt in as far away as Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Gravatar I didn't feel the one early in the morning (I slept through it), but I definitely felt the one at 11:15 AM. Some pottery on a shelf on top of my desk was rattling, and at first because I wasn't paying too much attention I half-thought I was doing it myself ... then realized, 'wait, I've never heard it do that before.'

Gravatar For those who didn't expierence the eartquake . . . . it felt just like the bass sound coming from the cars that have their stero cranked up so high that you can feel the virbration. It had the rumble effect.

Gravatar sure Charles but there was no rhythm - more like a dump truck rumbling by/through.
I guess this was my 4th. Kinda scary as you wonder if it will get worse or stop in a few seconds.
I saw a couple teenagers out front afterwards. They were excited and happy.
