Cincinnati Blog

Very classy of you Griff (seriously).

I don't know if anyone should cry for Bronson just yet. Unlike everyone else escorted out yesterday, Bronson will get the opportunity to be a regular contributor to the Enquirer, I'll bet. They can't bear to lose their GOP meal ticket entirely.

He needs to get off his lazy patoot and get a job. Maybe if he were a harder worker he wouldn't have gotten fired.

I suppose he wants some sort of assistance now, like unemployment insurance, COBRA, or a severance package. Typical.

Amazing he couldn't find a way to weave in his ol' reliable fallback: How he used to be a liberal hippy but then became enlightened.

I won't miss his lazy hooks, sophomoric cliches, tortured similes and generally mailed-in tripe. I've never read another columnist in a major daily who managed to keep a job writing such utterly uninspired musings. I was writing beyond his level when I was in the 10th grade.

Gravatar It's funny I saw it coming and I thought when the day came--the day when Bronson was let go, I'd feel like tbone or Lil Petey Bronson, but honestly I'm somewhere in the middle. Yes, I often challenged his right wing extremist comments. But he's the one guy that I actually loved hating.

Gravatar I bet he lands on WLW.

Gravatar His views were dangerous and unacceptable, and I could give a damn if he was hard working, he was hardworking to spread lies and hate. Boehner is hard working, doesn't mean I wouldn't love to see him lose his seat. I'm sick of all of this" oh, well he's nice in person, let's wish him well". Why?

Gravatar Why? We are all humans.

Gravatar And his views have proven that he doesn't care about humans. He doesn't want "socialisn". Screw him, let's see how his tune changes now. The thingshe has said in his column don't lead me to accept that he is human anyway.

Gravatar Well Sam,

So, you are NOT a do unto others type of person, I gather. You sound less humanlike than Bronson.

Gravatar Can we at least look forward to an Enquirer that is free of his narrow-minded views?

You're right, though; he is a nice guy.

Gravatar Wow ... with all the layoffs at the Enquirer, I guess this blog is going to have fewer reporters to steal stories from.

Gravatar Well, WE want Bronson to get unemployment benefits and free health care. It's BRONSON who doesn't want people to get those things.

So, following the Golden Rule, Bronson must be refusing all that. If he takes it, he should write an article about how he was wrong about all that stuff. Beyond that, he should STFU.

He's a destructive hatemonger who's nice in person. Hooray for taking away his megaphone!

I agree with Mr. Fixit, though; Brian should totally pay Enky for linking to them and driving traffic to their crummy site. It costs them a bundle to handle the extra server bandwidth! I wonder why conventional media is having trouble in the internet age...

Gravatar I wish him a very long, healthy, and joyful life... Very far away from a newsroom, microphone, or TV camera.

Gravatar Oh, Luke... How I've missed you...

Gravatar Class post Brian.

Gravatar so, he's going to turn down the unemployment benefits, right?

Gravatar Yes that was a nice post. As for his views being dangerous and unacceptable...well Sam maybe to you but not to others. What always gets me is the fringe on both sides are NEVER tolerate of anyone’s thoughts, opinions, ideas except those of the same mindset. How shallow and mean of you. So you disagreed with him, so what? I like me a whole lot and I disagree with things I have said and done...get over it. He was a columnist who was paid to give his thoughts, viewpoints, and ideas..he was NOT a reporter. Big difference!
What struck me as amazing about Bronson getting left go was they kept the TV guy and the food critic? With all the fabulous food blogs in this city, the idea of the local newspaper having a food criticsreviewer seems to be a waste of money.....
Just my thoughts.

Gravatar "Bronson is a good reporter, when he takes his opinion and bias out of a story."

FYI, he was a columnist, not a reporter. It's his job to interject his opinion in his columns.

Gravatar Being laid off is, sadly, just the dose of reality Peter Bronson's world view needed.

Welcome to the club, Pete. It's not fun, and I wish you luck.
