Amazes me that something with a brain the size of a pins head could build that. Geez, what we humans could do if we ever got our heads together.
Wasps are clearly heteosexuals, as they do not make pretty hives. Having to go out to the shed the first time each summer in the country, was always approached with tredpidating. I'd lower my head even as I unlatched the nail that had been formed into an L-shaped latch, and open the door only slowly, while casting wary eyes to each of the corners. The bastards often would build close to whatever implement I really needed, like the lawn mower, the axe or the saw.
