Typical of Cafe Brownsville to continue onslaught of Mexican -Americans. Dr. Garcia has more brains than some commissioners presently governing. It is a shame that Cafe attempts to attract viewers with controversy. Just the mere reason that Sandra is attractive, articulate, and aggressive can get the community more attention and possibly impressive grants and funds from Washington and Austin for Brownsville, is something to consider before bashing her. By no means am I promoting her or not. All candidates are winners for even attempting to seek office. In my opinion she would do better than a Brownsville Commissioner male who arrives in Austin or Washington D.C. acting like a 18 year old hormone infested idiot seeking funds from special interests and/or financial consultants to finance hookers and/or whores for their tax funded hotel room pleasures as they represent Brownsville. Now that is stupid and criminal. The representatives from South Padre Island, Harlingen, and McAllen are publicly laughing at that kind of representative. They have told me this in front of witnesses in Austin recently. Your website should report on that selfish childish activity of commissioners as they represent you, I, and the citizens of Brownsville in distant U.S. destinations where headquarters are located of funding Federal and State entities for Brownsville. And calling your website after the color Brown in English and Spanish is racial. Why not Private Brown website? Why use the UTB/TSC building and Gladys Porter Zoo Building , which truly belongs to the community and not you. You really have no authority to use those images for your one sided website. But your involvement in informing citizens is admirable if done correctly.

Just some thoughts on a story in todays paper. Maybe you could make it part of another story.

People want leadership, and in the absence of
leadership people will listen to anyone who will steps
up to the microphone. We need leadership in this town
and because we don't have it, people (namely this
city’s biased, extremely unprofessional
newspaper) are listening to charlie atkinson. The fact that his kindergarten thoughts are published proves that this newspaper finds itself in a sad position.

Mr. atkinsons listens to propaganda spewed by this city’s most insane and ridiculous self appointed pontiffs and even then only understands a small percentage of what he hears. He then goes out and regurgitates what he
thinks he heard and defends it like the gospel truth. And you know what the worst part is??? The people in the best position to reveal his stupidity and ignorance to the world give him the front page on one day and a huge spread on Sunday to once again talk about things he will never understand.

I guess one could argue that the paper is allowing him to prove his ignorance by what he says and does but we all know how the paper edits and reports only the message they
want everyone to get. "They" spin a story until they find a way to deliver their own message. Why haven't they given the other candidates as much space in their
paper as they have mr.atkinson? I wonder.

The newspaper held four political forums, one for the mayoral candidates, one for the at-large A and B candidates, one for the District 1 candidates and one for the District 2 candidate (Atkinson). They promoted each one the same and covered each one the same ... on the front page, center. The paper showed fairness to all candidates in all races. You don't have to "wonder" about anything stupid voter. All you have to do is check the facts before you ramble on ... and on .. and on.
