Ah, ok, So you do listen to Hannity/Rush. Just wanted to get a feel as to the type of person I would be talking with. Some of my best friends are Hannity/Rush fans. |

"And if the Bush Administration says they are liberal leaning, then I guess they are" |

Hopefully the documentary shows who the real Border Bandits were. The robber barons, the shysters, who stole land from hard working Texans. Ones who lived here before the rio grande crosed THEM. The same people that the "treaty of Hidalgo" somewhow overlooked. The same people who owned the King Ranch, and South Padre Island. And no i'm not related to Rebecca Balli-Sexton-Gomez (I won't mention crack THIS time). The same people who were killed by Texas Rangers hired by the same thieves with their carpetbags. I've got my old VCR on the ready. Thanks for letting me in know in advance as to what should be a good topic. As far as liberals, I'm liberal with my actions, my kids and am fairly tolerant of others, except for those few people who NO ONE likes, but I'm ultra conservative with my hard earned but easily spent taxes.. The documentary reflects an important problem of that time and hopefully will note the role of Brownsville's own J.T. Canales who took on the Texas Rangers during that period. J.T. Canales was the first Hispanic elected to the Texas Legislature from the Valley. During his five terms in the Texas House, he confronted the Texas Rangers over their treachery along the border and forced the Rangers to reorganize. Hopefully this PBS special will accurately reflect the events of that time. I encourage readers to view the program and not get entangled with a stupid discussion over "liberalism". Most here in the Valley know little of our history. |

What will the EVIL Chris write about now? I have a recommendation. Let’s get to know this new commissioner. I don’t know the guy but he’s my (district 4) commissioner. If he doesn’t act right he will know me well. Who is he and why did he want to be a commissioner at such an early age? Will he strive to work with others or will he go the way of longoria and betancourt? |
