I got dizzy watching this meeting.
softball fields or soccer fields? baseball fields or softball fields? pony league, little league, and softball fields. the small white gap or the large white gap? six million bond, seven million bond, 1st phase, 2nd phase. co's or bonds or sales tax. mou.
i almost understood what they were talking about. just when the unorganized, disparate pieces of information felt like they were going to fall into place in my mind, i blinked, and everything turned into clutter again.
eerie moment: i agreed with atkinson that united league should promptly submit their revenue information. they kept trying to change the subject until that last guy admitted in all likelihood, they will loose money at first. we have the right to know that.
throughout the meeting i kept imagining that this was a meeting for a private corporation. this kind of disorganization would not be tolerated. 'i can go get it...' and 'somebody told me that...', are not things you want to hear in a meeting.
'with the understanding that you realized that to some extent if we are entered into this memorandum of understanding there will be eventually a halt to our progress...' i usually like longoria but it was a bit childish the way he just had to get that in.
well, i guess i'll take notes next time. i will be dreaming of softball fields tonight.
