I think it is time to put an end to Peter's games and drag him down from his soap box. I'll be the first to admit I've enjoyed this charlatan embarass himself time and time again by exposing his absolute ignorance of criminal law (although the Zipper made a great point about Peter's personal experience in criminal law). I, however, like most if not all of you, am tired of Peter calling his indictment a "mistake" made by the complaining victim, Mrs. Moncada. A mistake is made when someone incorrectly thinks his/her money was stolen. A mistake is made when that same person files a report against another under the incorrect assumption he/she stole the money at issue. A mistake, however, is not when an independant law enforcement agency conducts an investigation and based on the results, presents that evidence to the District Attorney. Further, a mistake is not when a Grand Jury comprised of 16 to 23 impartial citizens, review the evidence brought before them and based on said review, determine that there is sufficient cause to believe a crime has been committed and that a certain individual has committed it. In the famous 1988 indictment, ladies and gentlemen, that certain individual was none other than Peter Zavalet(t)a. He was indicted not as a result of the mistaken belief of one woman, Mrs. Moncada, but instead based on the evidence gathered by an investigation and the review of such evidence by a grand jury, which determined that there was sufficient evidence to warrant a trial in connection with the charges filed against Zavalet(t)a!! |

WOW!!!! No wonder attorneys won't give him money! This guy has problems keeping track of his cash flow. |

Peter should remember what happened to Fred Galindo when he was DA. |

This is just one more example of Peter's disguised disdain for our community and his continued attempts to deceive the taxpayers with his smoke & mirrors - just like he has done at the Port for almost 4 years. It's our fault - it worked for him at the Port - he now calls himself "a trusted public servant" - so why not try it at the county level, right? |
