As an employee of the county, I think it is pretty pathetic that a good man like Mark Yates is being persecuted for the failures of Carey Malek, Johnny Cavazos, and Manuel Villarreal.

Mr. Malek, who represents HRH Agency of San Antonio, and Johnny Cavazos of Cavazos Insurance Agency of Brownsville were the two insurance agents in-charge of communicating the policy changes to the county. They didn’t do the job!

Manuel Villarreal, HR director for the county, was the chairman of the insurance committee. As chairman and HR director, he was the principal county employee responsible for reporting changes to commissioner's court. He didn’t do his job!

Will the valley ever change?

Why do our county commissioners continue to work with clowns like these people who do not have the ethics to admit to their mistakes or the work ethic to their jobs?
