Aww, that is so so exciting that you can still have this special way of remembering your dad. What a determined little tree.

Ahhhh, hope springs eternal. Willows are wonderful trees. They bend with the wind when others would snap and break, they never say die once they are established - and this one carries memories in each leaf...what a nice gift to carry around with you.....Im sure you will have this tree most of your life, knowing you as I do. My sentimental first born beautiful daughter, in mind spirit and body - you always amaze me. I love you.

Okay J gave me a begonia when he was three and I thought I'd killed it on the transportation from Texas to Cali and back and so I threw it out. This makes me wish I hadn't . Go you for hanging onto it!!

Wow, that totally made me tear up!
You can go to the garden center of your local hardware store and get a pot base with wheels on it. It makes moving big potted plants around SO easy!

My uncle has lots of curly willows, they can survive nearly anything. It sounds like this one has. It's a survivor, just like you.

I tried really hard to water him but, it was soooooo hot last summer.
Well I'm happy he survived. The picture made me crack up... Dad was much better at keeping plants alive.
