Congratulations! I had all the same nervousness about changing my name...but I did it. For all the same reasons you did. It's been more almost 7 months since I changed it, and it's still very strange.

It took me a little while to change my name too, but I realized that I wanted to have the same last name as my kids and my hubby. I dont regret it at all.
Welcome back!

We're in the same boat! Although I don't think your new last name is hard to pronounce at all. (Then again, it was my 7th-grade math teacher's last name.)
So glad you're back!

For a minute, I thought we had lost you there...
Welcome back!
Shallow as it sounds, I took my husbands name pretty much because I "upgraded" as far as names go. Mine was boring, his wasn't. End of story.
But I'm glad I did.

Welcome back.
Funny story. As my parent's 25th Wedding Anniversary approached, my mom finally went to the SS office to officially change her last name to dad's!! She'd been going by it all along - but just never got around to doing it officially.
How weird is that? They are approaching 50 years now!

Yay! Courtney! Oh, and yes, I have learned to spell my new last name in two letter increments, otherwise people always get the last two letters wrong. And I'm not even sure anybody has ever attempted to pronounce it without asking how to say it first. I could be wrong on that. Good luck with your new last name! Now have a boy. Hehe. JUST kidding.

Welcome back! And I totally know what you mean--I traded a maiden name everyone recognized and spelled correctly for a married name that no one spells right, even when I am standing right there dictating the spelling to them letter by letter! (There's a more common name that has an N where ours has an M, and even when I say "M as in March", they invariably write down N anyway.)
Congrats on making the change official!

Welcome back!! I have not been that good of a blogger either.
I had a really hard time too when it came time to do it. But I decided to move my maiden name to my middle name and dropped my middle name. I am pretty happy with that decision. And don't worry horrible maiden name to pronounce and people are still having a hard time pronouncing my new name which is so freaking easy.

Congrats!! That's AWESOME...except for the fact that we don't share the same 2 letter initials anymore.
