Gravatar My gym presents a microcosm of male body issues and behaviors. We have three urinals, two stalls, so guys will use every other urinal up to two, before going into the stalls. Then you have guys who only remove underpants with a towel around their waist. Others walk around fully naked. With a large, known but unstated gay population, there are straights who refuse to disrobe at all, showing up, working out and leaving in the same clothes.

Is it their own body image issues or fears of being objectified by other men?

Gravatar http://www.swedish.org/16874.cfm - this is an article on male body dysmorphic disorder, which i believe affects, oh, 50% of the black gay male population in dc (trust me). throw in penis envy and you've just about covered the other half.

Gravatar I've told you how even the black professional men would not sit next to each other the bus. They'd sit with a white man before they'd sit with another brother.

Gravatar Hey Clay,

I must say that I haven't commented on your spot in a while cause I didn't think that you valued me as a blogger. But I guess, you just don't have time for me.

However, I find this post extremely hilarious. The body is an illusion that I myself have not been able to control.

Good luck in acheiveing that balance.

As always in Parting,

I came in Peace and in Peace I leave.

Gravatar I think it really depends on ones level of comfort with their own body be it str8 or Gay. Some can't wait to take their cloths off flaunting if you will the sculptured 3 to 4 days a week workout routine in the gym. Make no mistake, guys look at other guys in the gym in the shower etc… Not always about sexual desire, sometimes its envy (beyond penial) of a well develop physique.

I hated gym in High School because of showering. I loved gym in college because of showering. Go figure…..
