Now I understand the inspiration, thank you. This piece touched me and made me again take an introspective look into my own behavior. I could write something simiular but I would call it Dangerously in Lust... for at the end of the day, thats what it has been.

Spoken like the true scholar you are! It's true man, we do some dumb stuff at times...it's like we almost devalue ourselves at times. I know you're not the only one guilty of it - I am too! But we're at a good start - we've identified that monster, now we can take practical steps to make sure we avoid it, hence growth and success. You ready?

Insightful post and true, true, true. Recognition and Reflection are powerful things, homie. I'm digging you for that...and reflecting on my own sh*t. Good stuff.

We all need. It's natural. The fact that we compromise so dramatically and endure abuses to acheive that end says more than a hundred scholarly essays ever could.
Being honest about this natural need, and vocal, is a first step toward loosening the religious-based sexual repression in our society, and the guilt that often follows.
I feel for your friend, though I've drifted on a slight tangent ......
