From the sounds of it, you have many relationships, just not the romantic type that you desire, having things is nice, but it doesn't guarantee anything, and I think you can gain from being honest with your interests what you are looking for, romance.
I'm looking for the whole suit as well.
i say damn right - establish the expectations early. people say "don't have expectations", but what feeling human being can reasonably expect not to have expectations. articulate your openness to finding that special person, as you did, without trying to shoehorn them into that box, and i think you'll avoid lots of foolishness in the future.
