On teepees, My neighbour and I made 5 between us for christmas presents last year using a pattern from an old singer sewing book. Ours was similar to your last link with the four sides. I highly recommend getting broomstick handles for the poles and drilling holes in the top ends, the best place I found for them which I don't think is too far from you is Tony's hardware in Chester st Oakleigh, a 175cm pole for $2.50. Your welcome to borrow the book if you wish, just email me :)

Patternmaking/fitting books are variable. I have some of the classic home sewing ones and a few of the industrial ones.
Fashion incubator Site is my favourite source for industry information but I am grateful for Threads Magazine for giving me a hearty shove in the right direction.
Armstrong is the most widely used drafting books. http://tinylink.com/?obB3844Avk
A great book for comparing different
pattern alteration techniques is this one

I have the same childrens fashion sites in my bookmarks. There are so many lovely childrenswear sites at the moment.
