We went to look at bathroom fittings recently too and damn were they expensive. $500 for a bathroom tap!!!
Fun fun fun!!! May be of no help at all, but our vanity was a total bargain from Schotts - 1/4 the price of anything we saw in the same vein anywhere else. Let me know if details would help. Other wise I'll shut up and watch with fascination :-)

Oh God! This reminds me of when we did our bathroon 2 years ago. I cleverly arranged for our 10 day Bali holiday to coincide with the pull-down tear-out work so we'd never have to deal with no shower. But the toilets weren't available and had to be reordered... something the builder wasn't happy to do without my say-so. We came back to a gutted room and nothing else. Was I happy???
If it wasn't for a dear friend who offered us showers every day, we would've been in dire straits. I hope that yours runs smoothly.
