I've read lots of stories and reviews about Advanced WindowsCare. It sounds almost too good to be true. If anyone reading this has tried it out, comment here to tell us about your experience with it.
Thanks for your time ...

I've been running this program for a couple of months now and it does everything it says it will do, and fast too. You can repair problems a category at a time or use the one-click button that takes care of all the problems. It's a gem.

I have been using Advanced WindowsCare for some time. I have Recommended it to friends and we all are most pleased with the program. I even bought a licensed copy. It is well worth the money.

I did find some older versions of Advanced WindowsCare at OldApps forum and Version Tracker websites.

Some of those will probably work for Win9x systems.

Beware of programs that sound too good to be true!!
At the risk of becoming a pariah, I cannot find a single good word to say about Advanced WindowsCare. It apparently caused far more problems than it fixed, and I cannot understand how a program so highly thought of by your computer savvy readers could wreak such havoc on my computer. Being somewhat of a fanatic when it comes to updating and caring for my PC, I am a regular user nearly a dozen programs that clean, disinfect, clear out and protect your computer. Up until now, everything worked perfectly, but Advanced WindowsCare sounded so good, I couldn't wait to try it. After installing and running it one time, I was shocked to find a total of more than 3,000 "problems". But I believed the one click fix would take care of everything that must have suddenly gone wrong. I ran it again the next morning, and apparently my computer had been busy while I slept, as there were nearly 1,000 more NEW problems! Again, I "fixed" them all, then ran Spybot Search & Destroy which normally always gives my PC a clean bill of health. After reaching 88 new problems, it got hung up and stopped responding, and I was forced to shut down my computer to get out of it. (I've never had any trouble with Spybot previously) The second and third attempt ended the same way, so I tried SpyWare Blaster, which reported I now had more than 2,000 formerly protected items (Internet Explorer, Restricted Sites, and Firefox) that were now unprotected and, last but far from least, it also turned off my firewall and anti-virus program! With programs like this, who needs enemies? LOL

Lmao... a pariah! As I recall, mischievous Huckleberry Finn was a pariah, an outcast of the village, all because his father was the town drunk. Sounds like the ole' IPS needs to be sent to the Betty Ford Clinic for detoxification.

I tried "One Care". The next day many of my firefox links wouldn't display properly.
I did a "restore" and decided not to use the program.

I've been using Advanced Windows Care for a good number of months now, just tried version 2 and it seemed very good. Not sure why some had so many problems with it. Mine only found a smaller number of problems and fixed them quickly. A decent addition to my many free PC cleanup tools.

I took a good look at AWC when it first appeared. Frankly, I've never been comfortable with the "One ring to bind them all" approach to security/utility issues. Attacks on machines that rely exclusively on Advanced Windows Care could compromise an entire setup. It's not a useless software, but I recommend anyone using it regularly image your drives in case of problems.

If you are using the Free version, you shouldn't need a code.

Dear Clif,
Is there any linux OS that identifies, downloads the photos from and helps to take snapshots using a good Intel Pocket PC camera? I have more than a dozen different Linux OS systems, all these identify this camera at the USB port but say that the port is not configured properly !! To the best of my knowledge, USB ports do not require any configuration to put the camera into action. Any comments?
Thanks in advance,
Jayaram.

I have been using Advanced windows care for quite awhile. It seems,as far as I could tell, to clean up everything it says it will and does it quickly and effortlessly. The only problem which is quite minor is that on my machine if Spysweeper was running AW CARE would hang up when checking for registry errors. So I just exited Spysweeper until it was done and then started it up again. I am very pleased with it.I can't understand the amount of problems the other people on here are having..I love the damn thing! lol.
