When I set up a label and put an e-mail into it, the e-mail also remains in my inbox. If I delete it from the inbox, it also deletes it from the label. Am I missing something? I would like to get it out of my inbox and into my label only
Thank you

In gmail you don't need to delete email that is not junk. Your msg just needs to be archived - that will remove it from the inbox. You can find all your email under "All Mail" or when you do a search or listed under the TAG or Label you put on it.

The only problem that i have with the labels is that i have way too many labels. I cannot create something similar to a folder within a folder...

Hi Muthu,
I service a Gmail account with over 30 labels in it. After awhile I've gotten where I have the labels memorized. If a person doesn't want that many labels, then I guess they can just trust in the Gmail search feature to find what they are looking for. That usually works for me when I don't recall what something is labeled.
