WHAT FEATURES DO YOU LIKE OR NOT LIKE? It will use your CD drive as it's own and you can add usb support via guest addins for the VM. The guest add-ins will also let you setup a share folder that will let you share files between the host and guest OSes. I advise to read the manual first if you haven't played with virtual software before as it can be tricky to start with. There is also an active forum that can help if you run into problems or have questions.

I have been using 'Internet Window Washer' for over 2 years, it just keeps getting better and better.
It is a FREE internet tracks eraser and privacy cleaner. It is definitely FREEWARE but does install with an overlay nag screen (asking for a small donation). This will quickly disappear, however with a simple click on the 'skip' button at the bottom of the screen to reveal FIWW's simple and easy to use interface.
FIWW can be downloaded from Eusing's home page or from most popular freeware sites (e.g. cnet download.com).
The execute file is only 887k.b. and it supports Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 Server/Vista.
It is a very easy, trouble free install and comes with it's own uninstaller and help files.
The interface is completely self explanatory and very easy to use. Just click on 'wash settings', select the files you wish to clean and then click 'wash now'.
It has settings for the popular browsers (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera and Firefox) and for I.M. software as well as a long list of supported subsidiary titles. You can even add a specific title using the 'custom item' option.
Under the 'options' tag you can choose to overwrite the cleaned files between one and ten times and set the scheduler for auto cleaning. It also has a simple start-up manager (under 'tools').
A word of warning! - be careful what files you select for cleaning. e.g. in the Outlook Express section are options for cleaning your folders, including the in-box. This program really works, if you keep wanted emails in Outlook Express folders do not clean them or they will be lost forever!
This is a terrific piece of software and comparisons will obviously be made with the very good free 'CCleaner'. My opinion, for what it is worth, is that FIWW is at least as good as CCleaner and for Netscape and/or Opera users an absolute must have.
FOOTNOTE: I have read a couple of user reviews recently, bemoaning the use of a so called nag screen in freeware. One fellow even suggested that it wasn't freeware at all but should be labeled 'nagware'. I found that attitude very difficult to comprehend. Free software costs a lot of money to produce and maintain, if we want to continue reaping the benefits of freeware titles we should be supporting the publishers and their software not bagging them!

The earlier versions had some problems with stability and saving. I have lost some data with it but not much. The developer has made some changes and they seem to work well. No problems anymore. Still frequently making backup's as it is at version 0.42 so it is not a 1.0 release. With all consecuences.

Yes. It is a tree with different kind of topics. Not to much options and very clear to use. Zie the readmettc.txt
file in the unzipped directory for an explanation. You can also open the Demo.zxx file included in the download.

A FREE version for Linux is now available also. I do not suggest this for the unskilled or weak of heat as it encrypts the entire hard drive from the boot sector down; partitions included. I have tried a few boot rescue and recovery disks after installation, and they will recognize the drive, but tell you that it is unformatted. Thats what i am talking about. Someone may have my laptop, but not my data. It is fairly easy to install if you can follow instructions witch by the way i had printed out so as to be sure a did not mess it up. i did panic for a minute because i had my bioes set for USB for first boot option and yes i had a USB plugged in. There are many other features, and safeguards in place. i suggest you go to the F.A.Q. first to get the feel of it.

You can encrypt while you work.

"How long does it take to encrypt a 40GB IDE HDD?
Depending on the size and specifications of your hard disk and the mode it encryption. Encryption before booting is much slower than encryption while working. In general, Encryption while working takes about an hour for 10GB." you can hybernate or go on standby but the power to the computer must not be inturupted until encryption is completed and computer rebooted. Read all there documentation twice before beginning and you should be OK.
