Hi, Clif
In your best 46 & Extended best-ever freeware, your didn't list/comment :-
(a) the best p2p client such as Shareaza, Limewire etc.(only BitTorrent clients)
(b) the best video ripper software (only audio rippers)
I could download the above programs from various websites but I don't know how good they are & whether they are spyware infested. Hope your could help to comment.

I'm looking for a freeware program that takes a photo and changes it to look like a oil painting. I know of programs that cost $$ and am looking for a freeware program.
Thanks!

Hi,
I had been using Liquidmedia presentation v.1 which was a freeware. Later versions are shareware types. Is there any site from whch version 1 can be still downloaded ? Apart from Powerpoint, is there any other free presentation freeware that can be converted into .exe files?

I always like to listen to the "other side" to see/hear what they are saying. I'll give Newt a go once in awhile because he is/was a real political force in the U S and maybe again soon.....(I do think he is NUTZ though. As far as Ann Coulter is concerned, she is, in my humble opinion not the other side she is a loose cannon who's opinions are extraterrestrial and framed in a most OFFENSIVE MANNER. She gets more than enough screen time as it is. I think, but I don't know for sure that in some countries what she says in public may be considered Hate Speech and could get her arrested.........should get her arrested. She became famous because she adopted the extreme right conservative point of view in U S and world politics and lets the world know about her views in the most rude and offensive manner. Her views are not what I'm looking for. The fact that her books make the best seller lists in the U S has me really frightened because her hateful opinions of those that don't agree with her point of view and her style have a following.a large one at that. She is NOT good for your country or for any country for that matter. Hate speech is never a good thing and with the large following it only speaks to the state of the American(US) society. The fact that she has so many fans is a sign that your society is truly on its way down the tubes.

Hi Widepart,
This isn't a political forum. If I see more of this here I won't hesitate to delete it.

Hello Jayaram,
You might want to ask them at the liguidemedia forums. Someone there may send you a copy or even give you a free copy of the current stuff. You never know until you try.

Hi MYC, you are probably thinking of the list from Gizmo at techsupportalert.com
I never wrote up a list of the best freeware.
Good P2P clients? I don't know, I never use them. Best video rippers? I use the UnPlug Firefox plugin. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/...efox/addon/

Thanks for asking.

Great newsletter!!
I would like to learn of a freeware directory printing program similar to Glenn Alcott's Print Directory one. I bought this one, then lost it when I bought a new computer and it didn't transfer when I moved some other utilities. Glenn wants me to buy it again but my Scotish ancestry will not let me buy anything twice. I probably have missed info on such a program at your newsletter. Please advise. Thanks.

Go to Google and put in "karen's tools"
One of her programs lets you print out the directory of any thing you choose, CDs, DVDs, even folders etc.

I'd like a program to print television guide listings so that I can view them offline, without having to purchase a TV guide.
I want to be able to pick and choose the TV channels that I want to print, (without having to redo this each time) and to print out listings by day or week, etc.

Here is a URL for Zap, which you can rearrange to your stations. Using Zap, however, you will hve to copy the programs you want - one at a time, then paste into say a word program for each day. You could then print them out for the week or ?? I don't know of any other program that you can choose just the ones you want and print.

One of the neatest I have found to use is DirPrinting. It's output is easily pasted into Excel or wherever you would like it. I use it for creating an index of each CD/DVD I create of downloads I make. I paste the index into an Excel workbook and that makes finding an application on a CD/DVD a breeze (I have 55 indexed this way):

Hi Mary at OEStationary. You'll have to do a bit of footwork unless someone else can point out more help.
1. Check out http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ for learning how to burn DVD movies.
2. Try http://media-convert.com/ for converting mp4 files into the files you'll need to burn onto a DVD.
I'm not sure how to do it myself.

Hi Craig - database?
You might try OpenOffice. It has a database program similar to MS Access.

Hi Mary - Once you have converted your MP4 file to the required format I suggest you use DVD Flick to burn the files to DVD for TV viewing. It is very easy to use and is free (open source).
Bare in mind that large files will take quite a while to be processed.
