Can anyone recommend a good freeware programme for using a computer+scanner as if it was a fax machine? I've done some checking on the web and, though there seem to be a lot of options out there, everything I've found so far has a commercial price tag on it. Any help gratefully received, thanks!

Hi Kevin,
I can't recommend any freebies to turn your scanner into a fax machine, however, I did find this one. I don't consider the source to be completely trustworthy, but you can try this one with caution.
Copy and Fax Utility 1.1
Best of luck to you.

Sometimes there are big folders which contain subfolders inside & in absence of a DVD Drive transfers need to be done via a CD-RW.Here comes the need for a Folder Splitter.
I know it can be RAR ed & split but huge data takes time to be RAR ed even in "STORE" mode.
Here comes the role of a folder splitter.
Thank You

Hi Roy,
I don't know of any software that can help you split up large folders. If the folders are on a hard drive, it seems to me that you can easily "split" them yourself by creating smaller folders and moving files around. Moving files on a hard drive doesn't take nearly as long as copying or compressing files.
I did see a program once that would automatically create folders A-Z and sort files into those folders by their filenames.
If you are interested in that, I'll see if I can find it again.
Good luck!
