I need appropriate freeware program for exclusively scanning printed materials--newspapers, books, magazines, printed documents.
I would be most grateful to learn of any available programs that would be appropriate for the above.....

perhaps you can help me again. Time ago I had a free software which allowed me to print all the picture in a directory onto one (or more) pages in thumbnail format. I can't trace it anymore. Do you know any sw such as this, pls?

I am presently looking for a freeware program to make a copy of a new hard drive which I had planned to use in the computer I was using at that time--some two years ago).
A day later, I purchased a new computer....and never got to use it on my older computer.
I am now planning to use that old computer in a second location in my home.
What I would like to do is to make a copy of the new hard drive(that has never been used) to keep as a backup copy. (I am unable to find my Microsoft XP installation cds that were lost in a move I made to a new home.)
Are there any freeware programs available that could help me with this task?
Any help you might provide me would be most appreciated.
