Comments for Clif Notes Newsletter

Gravatar Hi Cliff,Thried to access PDFtoWord using the link and found that you need to either be a member or have an invite to be able to access the software.

Cheers

Gravatar I gave VideoCacheView a try and it is really nice. Does exactly what is supposed to do and is very handy. A keeper for me. By the way, you will find tons of other neat apps on the nirsoft web site http://www.nirsoft.net/ .
I have used other apps that they have produced and have been very pleased with them. A little goldmine!

Gravatar I have been using MenuMaid for some time now, and it's great. It's the easiest way to clean up your right-click menu. I especially like the fact that I can restore items to the menu anytime. It's a terrific little freebie.

Gravatar Great information! Thanks Everyone.

Gravatar can you give out the code for the PDF to Word converter???

Gravatar any code for the PDF to word converter?? it sounds like a good program

Gravatar Clif,
The PDF to Word converter beta is definitely an invite-only setup. Best wait until it's generally accessible.

VideoCacheView is a nice-looking utility from Nir Sofer, who's been writing neat little free utilities for years now. In these times of frequent views of videos from many sites, this one might appeal to a lot of your readers. It gets my vote for inclusion in a future newsletter.

BTW, Elizabeth, from the same author is ShellExView. This is a nifty app that allows you to look at your shell extensions and disable/enable them as you choose. Sure beats hacking the registry.

Gravatar Okay Everybody,

If you dig around the PDF-To-Word site, look for the blog link. One of the blogs refers to the invite code which is "nitro" (no quotation marks). They're limiting the beta to 2000 testers, so you may be too late, maybe not. I'm still waiting for an email and it's been three whole minutes! (stamps foot impatiently)

Gravatar ...And we're still waiting for PDF to Word to email. Haven't tried this one, but I found Some PDF to Word Converter through Gizmo's Techsupportalert site. Wo0rth a try, IMHO.

Gravatar Just heard that the PDF 2 Word site is now open to the public now.

I tried it and it seems to work fine.
