You're certainly better than ME at housekeeping, and I definitely appreciate that!
I've switched to "enviro-friendly" cleaners - they smell better than the orginals, and seem to do about as good a job.
If you do use borax, be careful with it; it's toxic in sufficient doses. It's used in rat and insect poisons. As a general rule, I would research any new-to-me cleaning ingredients and combinations before using.
That is a good point. I'm only using the borax in laundry detergent and scouring bathroom fixtures. I'll stick with things like vinegar/soda for most other uses.
I wonder if putting borax out would get rid of the ants...hm....
