Comments for Advanced Organizational Communication Blog |
I believe blogging in cooperations is a good idea and can be benificial to a company. It is a great way to get a companies name into the web so people can start to recgonize big companies. When people are reading the blog, they can get information about a company and make a judgement on it. Although sometimes people can write negative things about companies on blogs, it is important for companies to make sure whoever is writing for their blog is doing things to benefit the company. When a member from a company is writing on the blog about their positive views of their company or why they enjoy working, or whatever positive they are writing about- it allows readers to see their place of work as important and credible. It also allows members of a company to stay connected to the entire business, which helps because many businesses are very large. Communication is a extremly valuable tool in fowarding a companies progress and a blog is a great way to relay information as well as leave it open to suggestion and comments. |

nice article. But i really do hate blogging. this is good... i support it. I liked the topic. |

Blogging for a company is a good way to get out the positives that company likes to show people. Picking a good representative to blog is extremely important so they give the right information away to the public. People who like blogs and enjoy reading them can see a point of view on a company and gather information on it as well. Blogs also help people stay connected with each other whether this be members of the company or others looking for information about that company. |

I think it makes sense for a organization to pick someone who cares about and is interested in the company to write their blog, becuase it will make the public interested. I think that if you choose someone who didn't really care about the organization or didn't feel connected to the organization it would make it hard for the public to gain interest in the organzation. I just makes sense to pick someone who is interested to interest other people. |

Blogging period is a successful way to release tensions a person may fell about things that go on within an organization, saying that those that care about the organization should be the only bloggers doesnt seem right, those that dont care should also be allowed to blog based on the fact that their blogs can bring to the attention some of the things the organization needs to fix as a whole, and ultimately make it a better organization. |
The article makes sense to me. Blogging can be very helpful to influence buyers. In saying that, it is very important to pick a good person to represent the company. A respectful person who cares about the company would be a good choice because they will recruit buyers rather than turn them away. If someone who did not care were to blog about the company it would pull negative attention to the company and discourage buyers. It makes perfect sense to have a person that cares to blog about the organization. |

Honestly, |

I didnt even realize that most companies even had a "Blog", I agree that picking the right person to be your blogger is a good idea but I also feel that anyone who wants to blog much like I am doing right now has the right to, there for a company needs to be careful because anyone with a computer can get on here and write anything. |
I think it is natural for people who have worked for a organization for a while to use "we" instead of "the company" all the time. It makes it sound like that person is more in touch with the company. I agree when you say that the company needs to be careful when they choose the person who will be writing blog. It needs to be someone who loves the organization and their job. If a negative person is picked to write the blogs it can potentially ruin the businesses name. Even though I'm not a blogger myself it sounds like a good way to get a companies name out in the open. |

This article was very intersting. I didn't know people cared that much about blogging and what it represents. Good Article! |
I think it makes sense for a company to choose a person who cares about the company to do their blogging for them, but at the same time I don't think that blogs are that important. The service and quality of the products is what really matters. Also, if I read blogs about a company (which I don't) I would never show signs of identification with the organization based on their blogs. I only find myself identifying with an organization if I am a satisfied regular consumer of their products. |
I believe that it makes a lot of sense to pick someone who truly cares about the cause to blog for the company. Like it says in the article if you pick someone who cares it will make the company look better and therefore a ripple effect will happen causing the popularity of the company, and it's mission to become more apparent and known. I agree with how you feel in this article and support blogging!!!! |
I do believe that if the blogger has a strong organizational identification then they have the means to get the public involved in the the organization as well. If this employee is enthusiastic about the company then the readers of the blogs will gain the same enthusiasm from the article. |
It really surprised me that blogging was this popular that big companies would be doing it. I, myself really never have got into blogging because to be honest I really do not understand it, but I could see where it could help a company. I can see where people could identify with the company and build a closer relationship with them. This would then benefit the company. |
Well written article and interesting point of view! Personally I believe corporate blogging can be somewhat helpful to the company to help learn what the public thinks about their products. I never got into the blogging phenomena but I can see how it could benefit the corporation as well as the employees. |
I beleive the decision when hiring a blogger for a company is an important one. A person with interest in the company should be chosen. When the person is interested and active in the company they can relate more effectively to people who may be looking to learn more. A negative person may not be the best person to choose when blogging for a corporation. By effectively communicating and creating a community around a company is a effective way to spread a company's name. |
I really did not know that blogging had such a big effect on the company they write for. I personally am not a blogger and have no idea where to even start looking for a blog, but I think it makes sense that the organization needs to pick a person that will represent their company well. This article does make a lot of sense for a organization that is interested in blogging. Who knows if they pick the right person if could start a whole "community" of bloggers. |
Yeah, I agree with Amanda above. While some companies might find blogging useful, I don't see many companies benefiting from it. Plus, I would probably never go searching for a blog because first of all, I wouldn't know where to look, and second of all, the blog comes from one person so it is mainly composed of only thier ideas and not the entire company's. However, if a company decides to enter the blogging world or blogosphere they should definitely hire someone who will speak highly and who will represent the company in a positive way. |
This article had a great point of view in that it will probably help the organization if a blogger had helpful and positive things to say about a particular organization, thus people would want to buy products from the organization. when it comes to an organization its a good idea to blog otherwise blogging has no point. I personally do not like blogging because that is what text messaging is for (or open supervised forums!) |
