Thanks so much for posting that link. As an individual who works with the schools, I often wonder why Black boys are piled in the Principal's office. This happens at diverse schools.

My experience:

1. Black Boys.
2. Latino Boys - Mexicans.
3. White Boys.

It's sad, and you gotta know that it is about the teachers, who are usually white. Some of the Black teachers can be just as bad or worse. Some of them are only teaching in the urban schools because they need a paycheck. If the children are treated differently - they know. And some will act out because they know they are being treated differently.

I am a big advocate of schools for Black boys.

Creating your own lexicon, a new word, very empowering.

My white friend is in a play in Berkeley, CA Black Repertory Theater debuting a dark comedy stage production about racism. The slaves are all plotting to kill the plantation family. I went to a preview last week and it's quite a romp. I hope you get to see it some day!
