Your Glittens are really beautiful. I like the colors you have chosen for them. I have only made a couple pair in my life, and that was when I was young and didn't know that they might have been labeled "piquant" or "tangy." So I did them anyway.
The glittens are really coming along! I know the recipient will really enjoy them on cold winter days!

I have bookmarked this page and will come back when I make mine - do you think you could just make the cover and not have glove beginnings inside? So it could be a mitten that you could just flip off the top if you need your fingers? Maybe knit a few ribbing rows so air won't get in when they are covered? or pick up like you do for the mini glove, but don't make fingers at all? I'm not explaining myself real well - I guess I just need to experiment - but THANK YOU!

Brilliant, as usual! (And as if the glitten-ing alone wasn't enough, you do the gorgeous colorwork besides, sigh.) You really should publish your pattern somewhere, Kathy - it is so unique and it seems like one of those items from the past that could easily fade away. Amazing how very practical a concept it still is!

I would love some more details on how to make these. I make fingerless gloves but I think that my family would like these more.
I love the mittens. I am always looking for patterns for hats, mittens, and scarves. I like to give these to school children who have nothing to keep them warm.

Starting them today!! I got sport weight, but seems to be going well. only have 1 1/2 done on the ribbing so for!

I know you posted this pattern ages ago but I have just found it. Thanks so much - your mittens and glittens look wonderful, and I shall be trying them out. The instructions look rather complicated, so I shall have to sit quietly somewhere away from usual distractions - this could be difficult - but will try!
