Honestly, I'm not entirely opposed to casinos, nor am I inherently opposed to casinos located near existent tourist areas even if they are areas of historical importance. I wonder whether a.) the money could be better spent: today's election asked whether we should borrow money to clean up environmental damage; and b.) whether some safeguards could be imposed to avoid some of the negative side-effects of casinos close to historically valuable places.
