Gravatar Speaking as a Canadian, I can say that I am not in favour of many of Bush's policies. Regarding Intelligent Design, on researching it, I found there is a lot of credence regarding to support this theory.

To not believe in any Intelligent Design, is to believe humanity is the apex of intelligent throught in regards to the nested hierarchies of systems theory. That is, the pattern of increasing intelligence conveniently stops at the place where we can easily identify and study it. This mindset is parrallel to that which brought the world the flat earth 'fact', then the geocentric 'fact', then the galaxy is the universe 'fact' (when the telescopes of the day could only see this far) and so on.

I am continually amazed at how those who claim to stand for open-mindedness and science parrot slurs on alternative viewpoints, without the slighest apparent original thought.
