i agree the snow is overhyped (it always is), but remember that most of the local news' viewing audience is outside center city.
here in the burbs, the ground was covered in white by 2:30 p.m. yesterday. mrs. noz shoveled about 6 inches at 10:00 p.m. last night (while i stood on the porch telling her the shoveling was futile and throwing snowballs), and we went for a gorgeous walk sometime after 11 p.m. last night.
right now we have well over a foot (it's hard to tell with all the drifts. it's also hard to tell if it's still snowing. there's a lot of flakes in the air, but they could just be blowing from nearby trees.
i'm in noz heaven. if only it could do this a couple more times before spring
hmmh. Sounds quite futile...'specially since you guys don't even have a sidewalk!
I'm having lots of fun in the snow as well. I'll probably volunteer to shovel our neighbor's sidewlk after lunch.
no no no! here in the burbs, it's not about shoveling sidewalks--no one gives a shit about whether someone walking past our place slips.
it's about shoveling the walkway up to your front door so people like the mailman can bring you stuff. or shoveling your driveway so you can go out and get stuff.
stuff acquisition must not be interrupted!
