Atrios, there must be some mistake. He doesn't even look like you.

Gravatar You meany!

Gravatar He's a cat person, they have to establish the plot, you know...

Gravatar Guess Ben Afleck was busy when they were filming....

Gravatar I know, I know, I'm a meany...

Gravatar M: yup, he's definitely a cat person...but he's fun to hang out with too...

Gravatar Classist Grafitti?

Gravatar dex: What about Affleck playing Drudge?

Gravatar Wasn't that Ben Domenech playing Atrios?

Damn NBC.

Gravatar mdhatter: yeah, weird graffitti that showed up at drinking liberally that we don't know who dunnit.

Either way, that actor was *so* not even TBogg.

Gravatar dex: What about Affleck playing Drudge?
Sir Oolius
----------------------------
Need somebody really weird for Drudge, like old actor Michael J. Pollard on botox...wearing a Stallone Rocky I hat.

Gravatar Jonathan: Oy! Domenech usually does try to hide that overbite of his.

In terms of the way the character was portrayed, yes: it's like he was just fed information and spewed it out without thinking...

Gravatar Atrios is the son of D.B. Cooper (the loot paid his college tuition), and the great grandson of Judge Crater (1884-1965). Like all members of his clan, he is diabolically clever.

Gravatar Bonnie & Clyde!

hmmh...Peter Falk, Jim Carrey?

Gravatar Aye, but only half of the 21 pounds of $20 bills could have possibly paid for his college tuition. Atrios knows where in the Columbia River the rest can be found!

I just realized, if you put a hat on DB Cooper, he'll look like Drudge.

Gravatar Sir Oolius: I was thinking the combination of the weasely, nerdy look and the fact that he's impersonating someone else. Dead ringer for Ben

Gravatar Good point.

So let's try 'Augustine' played by Brad Pitt. Or was that Hemingway and Nietzsche?

Gravatar i let out a laughing yelp when i saw "him" last night.

Gravatar You know, if I didn't watch the show and just saw that picture, I'd assume the taller guy was Atrios, because he looks more like him.

Of course, Atrios is much cooler than Josh Lyman, too.

Gravatar A few seasons back, West Wing had an episode about standing eggs on end on the spring equinox, and borrowed heavily from my Bad Astronomy website-- they even quoted the first line of one of my pages verbatim! One of the characters then gives the URL of the site as thingsthatarewrong.com instead of my URL (badastronomy.com). So I guess this is SOP for them. Sigh.

Gravatar Haha, that was me (a.k.a Ace Pumpkin) who added the second comment!

Though I've not been to Drinking Liberally since the move from Ten Stone, I was at Tangier in February with friends for dinner and drinks. I saw the "I AM ATRIOS" graffiti recently and thought it needed a sly dig at the anonymous penholder. I wanted to cite a lesser-known but esteemed nom de blog.

[also cross-commented to less-recent 3/1/06 original entry]

Gravatar By the way, the WW Atrios looks almost like a cross between the real Atrios and kos.

Gravatar Avedon: I should have cropped it better. I had a bit of wine before posting....I edited the post after I realized that it could be taken as a jab at TBogg, which is something I so don't want to do.

Aaron: Hope you can stop by DL more often! Genetic engineering these days: Kos / Atrios morph! I'll try to get on that see what I can come up with...
