Yeah, there's him, but at the moment Bush seems almost irrelevant to all this after he basically abdicated operational control of the conflict to the Israelis yesterday. In his view, it's the whackos in the ME (Arab and Israeli) who are to decide amongst themselves where this goes from here. If need be, our boys will be well positioned in Iraq (the "wedge" of the middle east) to do whatever needs to be done...

To be clear about where I stand: Israel has a right to defend itself, Hizb'allah deserves a good smackdown, and Iran and Syria need to be shown their rightful place in the region. But they all expect us to come in and do the dirty work, and seem almost elated that this is finally going their way.
