actually the big question plaguing us all is: what will happen to the "coeruleus" banner? it's always seemed to reflect where you were (mentally or physically) originally it was an image from a mountain out west somewhere. then it was the current image of the eastern seaboard (from boston to philly)--thus showing your conjugal visit commute route. but starting next week, what will it be? somewhere in boston? i'm dying to know...

Actually, Mt Etna during an eruption. Our families had rented a villa on the shore of the Mediterranean for us all, and the mountain was erupting one morning when we got out on the deck for breakfast! We were only briefly worried.
I've been wondering what will happen to the banner myself. I know I'll change it, but don't know what to yet. Also, the focus of the blog posts will likely shift away from global warming to more general sciento-political stuff again, now that some of the "hype" has died down.
I won't be near an internet connection for most of the weekend, so I can't comment too much, but any suggestions?

i gotta admit it took me embarrassingly long to figure out your current banner. i kept thinking it was an image of southern europe not the east coast of the u.s. (think italy instead of long island). it wasn't clear why you were so attached to northern italy, southern france and the former yugoslavia. no doubt your flying princess will be clear to everyone

I like suggesting things so perhaps incorporating the giant colored gas tank in Boston would make for an interesting banner...

Congratulations to both of you on the move! It's so wonderful that you'll be together now.
It looks like I'll be moving soon, too, up to New York. I very much hope that we'll be able to get together at some point in Boston or New York . . . or, for that matter, in Philly.
