What a great post! What fascinates me is how well God's plan works when we follow it and how horribly we can mess it up when we try to pick and choose which parts we want to follow. For example, if my dh is trying to love me as Christ loves the church and yet I don't humble myself to be under his authority we could have one very miserable marriage. Perhaps even (seemingly at least) more miserable than two people trying to have an "all things equal" kind of marriage. We need to be so careful to follow God's whole plan and not just the parts we "like."
Your last paragraph summed it up well.
The excericse is good because just reading other responses to the challenge keeps the truths fresh in my head and heart.
