Gravatar DEAR SHIFU,
Can you teach me how to cook, please? You're kitchen skills are amazingg!
Yours sincerely,
me(:

Gravatar Anytime Cheryl...Feel free to email me and pop by and come cook or bake.

Gravatar When the weather is this hot, I don't really feel like eating anything...but your tuna avocado salad would definately be something I'd have in a heartbeat

Gravatar Thank you, O' Great One!

Gravatar Hi WeyLin, just wanted to let you know that I got the soup base sample you sent. Will try it out and let you know how it turns out

As an aside, it just hit me that what you sent was a local variation (i.e. China market product) of Knorr's and I've been reading about how different markets will have their own "local variations" e.g. in Italy, Knorr will have a porcini version etc, which I'm dying to try. Going there at the end of the month and I think I'll be spending more money on food and related products than anything else!!

p.s. made a reservation at Soloccio for lunch. Is it really that good??

Gravatar ah..another aside..

I just had a quick and lazy dinner of a Momotaro with that sesame sauce by Kenko. Didn't do it the way you did coz it's like..9.30pm!! .just took it out of the fridge and cut it into 8s and drizzled the dressing over it and ate...first time I'm having the tomato and dressing....DEFINATELY not my last...utter delicious-ness

Gravatar Haha! You must try the chilled momotaro, May. Or else this tomato that the Japanese call a "Fruit tomato" it's a little smaller than momotaro, kind of a cross between a cherry and a normal tomato. I want some porcini soup bases from Italy! Feel free to buy more and give over some...

I like this tuna salad a lot, something about the large chunks of tuna is just decadent. It's like sashimi-almost-unsliced!

Yes, Soloccia is very good. Probably the best if not one of the best meals we had in Italy, best to go during lunch, as the atmosphere is gorgeous and sunny. Colin liked it immensely as well.

Gravatar You should try it with fruit tomato too, kind of a mix between a cherry and a normal tomato.

Porcini mushroom soup sounds wonderful, feel free to buy more and share!

Dario's restaurant is gorgeous and sunny at lunchtime, try to get that seating. Colin and I loved the place a lot.

Gravatar Hi Weylin, I'll definately pass you some porcini soup base if I manage to get it . Will see what other interesting things I can get a hold on while I'm there...totally stoked about trip

As for those smaller Jap tomatoes, I think I've tried them before. They're sorta like cherry tomatoes, slightly larger than regular ones, and either on the vine or still having their stemtops (I can't remember).I recall they were very sweet and tomato-ey

Yes, am booked for Sunday lunch at Dario's at 1pm. Will savour and enjoy...
