Colleen, you really are such a long way down the road, to the point that you can inspire others . . . 
I love that Melissia sees it that way.
I stay up late (1 am) with Young Son who is Jerry's age for the same reason. His dad and college-junior sister put themselves to bed at 10 pm because they are up and out of the house by 8 am. We don't even wake up for them any more, and everyone is happy!

Ari is a night person. Her personality completely changes from 10 until about 2 in the morning. I can't always stay up with her but on those occasions I do, we have had some of the most memorable times together. Had we just enforced some bedtime on her, I would have never gotten to see this other side of Ari. How cool is is that Jerry gets to make that decision on his own, whether it be to stay up or go to bed?
