I know nothing about them either! I did however talk Rick into a miter saw a few years ago. He did not want one in the worst way (afraid I would have expectations of him!) but he loves it and wouldn't be without it. I think it works like a table saw for us too. But I am afraid to use these things. I also have a jig saw I insisted upon, but have never picked that up either. Maybe this year.
