Does it help at all that the Democratic party, rather than the government is responsible for this? Granted it sucks, I'm looking for some silver lining, though.
That is a bummer, CA. My state changed its primary to Super Tuesday this year, and it feels like a pretty hollow victory, I have to say. I don't think a single major candidate has done an event here.
