After having read both your comments and the young lady's/fanily's remarks/statements, I am left with a question: what can we do here and now? I saw no petition or e-mails to register complaints (are they there and I missed them?). Even so, I live in Central Florida: politicians in California probably care little about courting my vote. However, I wish to help in whatever way I (and others) can - e-mail addresses might be helpful?! Other than...I got nuthin'. tadees
Seems the young lady is as dishonest as you are CS. She made no mention in her own "article" that it was her own mother who created the story in the first place.
Just go over and comment. She (Katelyn) has been bombarded with negative comments.

I withdraw my support. I just talked to me friend who works at the Bee, and her and her family refused to comment when questioned in the story. How can they complain about a slant when they refused to add their side?
Actually, Ryan, the Sills never complained about the Bee being biased. I was the one who said that.
Nor was that the real point of this post. The point of this post was to try to get some positive comments over on that blog - she was recieving rude personal attacks like crazy.
I posted this to try to let her know that not everyone thinks her family is mean and a bunch of extremists.

My point though, is that they had an excellent opportunity to plead and make their case in front of thousands of people but declined.
I totally agree with her cause, but I withdraw any and all sympathy because she blew an amazing opportunity. Not often does one get a chance like that, and they clearly blew it.

Andy's right. We have never complained about the article. In fact, we think that it was pretty fair for the Bee. You say that we blew an amazing oppontunity. How? Everything that we wanted to say was already spoken by the Bishop and my opinion on the topic was written on my blog, fully accessible to the reporter. Actually, he did quote me, but only used my final conclusion, and not any of the supporting arguments.
Also, Ryan, it's not like we as a family misled you. In the article, it clearly states things such as " Katelyn Sills, who did not respond to an e-mail seeking comment."
BTW, this is kind of a quick change from "The Bee sucks." If you had really read the article, you would have known that we had refused to comment.
Also, if we had commented on ourselves, it would have greatly contributed to distracting people from the main issue: that a aggressively pro-abortion Planned Parenthood escort was working at Loretto CATHOLIC High School.
They didn't "blow" anything. If they talk now they might blow the lawsuit. Lawsuit you say? That would be the other part of the story not mentioned by either of these young "journalists"
The point is simply, that you had an opportunity to clearly explain both your cause and the pro-life cause in general, but you dropped the ball.
