I have my questions about an early
Presidential primary and share many of your concerns. The June election turnout, without anything above the level of Congressional candidates could be lower than the 33% turnout in the June 2006 primary.

But I think it would be an even worse choice to move the rest of the June ballot to February since those nominated, and in some cases elected in the primary don't take office until almost a year later--in January of 2008. That's just too long a time IMHO.
