One point: An editorial notebook, such as the one you reference, is the opinion of the individual writer and not necessarily the editorial board. Therefore the article does not represent "The hypocrisy of The Bee ..." but only that of the writer. Were all of the editorial board members in agreement, the editorial would be unsigned. Then you would have a valid complaint.

Who but the editorial board has the responsibility of seeing that the reporters fairly and accurately report the story? Otherwise it appears that they have an agenda that this reporter supported with her article.
