I feel very badly for him. Wouldn't it be better though if some bosses lost their voices?

Oh, how scary for him. I can't imagine losing your hearing as an adult - but better sound than sight I suppose. I hope the dr's are able to help him, and you don't get tooo stressed out in the mean time!

tb - it is scary! but he seems to have recovered slightly. well, at least he's not so depressed now. all i can do is help in whatever way i can.

Oh, that's terrible! It's so strange that he would suddenly experience problems with his good ear.... but wonderful to hear that he's recovering...
